Message to the dev: HUMAN EYES ARE NOT CHEAP CAMERAS, OVEREXPOSURE LOOKS LIKE CRAP, UNDEREXPOSURE LOOKS LIKE CRAP, CALM DOWN WITH THE "HDR", THIS IS NOT REALISTIC AT ALL AND LOOKS BAD! Geez, sorry but I've been putting up with this sh^t in so many games since 2005, and DR 2 is one of the worst!. Bought a deluxe adition to play early just to find out FFB is♥♥♥♥♥♥ Now 1st DLC is out and FFB is still not fixed.. Not what i expected...-------------What i LIKED---------------------The road feels more alive-The sound effects of cars sound sick!-The tuning has more options-The AI has better difficulty-More Rally Cross tracks-------------What i DIDN'T like----------------First of all they removed all the good Dirt Rally 1.0 tracks including (Finland,Sweden,Acropolis and PIKES PEAK)Seriously Pikes Peak? Why to do that!-They changed the graphics, the lightning is a lot better but in overall they look really blurry now, especially the textures...-Some serious stutters from time to time, still playable but it is annoying...-The voice of Co-Driver sounds really "fake"-You have to be Online to play the career and it always uploads your stats to Race Net..-The force feedback on steering wheels feels weird and softer...-Ford Mustang and Aston Martin on a rally game? Are they serious? we need more Group A&B cars not SCI-FI cars...-I thought the handlings were close to RBR, but no they are not! Even Dirt Rally 1.0 felt more realistic in driving than that which is a 2015 game...Conclusion:If you own Dirt Rally 1.0 there is no need to buy this because this one feels like an improved version of Dirt 4...I hope we get some proper updates and more content in the near future.... Refunded because of the Racenet requirements. Whomever though a persistent online connection was a good thing needs to spend some time alone in a mountain cabin to ponder their life choices.. Can only speak for full wheel setup users, but i am highly highly dissapointed (as most are) with the horrendous FFB in this game. Dirt Rally was perfect. Why they felt the need to change it is beyond me. Paid full pre order price for this and have barely played it due to this. Fix the FFB and id love this game. Otherwise, its staying uninstalled.. I really wanted to write a deeply critical review that blasted the developers for their choices concerning DLC, always online requirements, and lack of content. However when I'm turning the wheel and pushing the pedals to navigate a 1.5 ton loud chunk of metal down a curvy dirt road this game invokes something within me that is absolutely indescribable. You will hold onto the very edge as you seesaw through the stages at blinding speed that will leave you terrified but satisfied if you successfully finish. This game improves upon the last one with better graphics, physics, and additional gameplay elements. You can't crash around the stage and expect to progress like the last one. Cars don't feel like they're skating across the surface as much as the first but feel like they are in direct contact with the track. Each type of surface has pronounced characteristics. The additional weather effects and changes give a greater sense of immersion. The addition of GT4 cars as well as more rallycross cars is welcome. While I don't like this payment/content model the addition of individual DLC is not unique for a driving simulator. The addition of seasons may end up extending the lifespan of this game compared to the first. If you genuinely enjoyed the first and you can get past the always online requirements you'll find a helluva experience.. I'm going to keep this brief and to the point. The Force Feed Back is limp, barely presents any information and feels like something out of a Ridge Racer Arcade machine. This combined with the overall "feel" to the game gives a massively underwhelming feel to the game. The cars feel lifeless, and with no character, and there's no sense of weight to anything that's going on. I was quick to go for a total refund as this has not been an improvement on the original Dirt Rally, it actually feels like a step back. I will consider buying it again in the future if they rectify and overhaul the limp FFB as the new gravel model is impressive.. Although the game underneath is excellent and a worthy sequel to Dirt Rally, always-online DRM absolutely ruins it, especially with the current state of RaceNet barely working. I do wish to buy it again one day, but Codemasters have to find a solution to the always-online component. Having hours of progress wiped because either A: your internet died or B: Codemasters' services went down is unacceptable when 95% of the game happens offline anyway.. The idea of having to connect to Racenet ruins the game. After completing 22 races and then logging back in, I get a message that says since my local and Racenet save data have a discrepancy, my career progress has been reset. There is nothing enjoyable about being forced to complete the same races over and over because of an error on their end. The actual racing is enjoyable and very similar to Dirt Rally, however until I no longer am forced to connect to Racenet this ruins the game for me. After looking into comments about the feel from all parts of our community, we’ve changed the way the ‘Suspension’ setting works to try and exhibit the behaviours that you've been requesting. For this update the slider has been set at a default level of 100 for all devices, but this can be changed to suit your preferences. If you prefer the way things felt previously, then simply head to the Input section of the Options & Extras menu, select your device and then adjust the ‘Suspension’ slider in the Vibration & Feedback tab to 0.We want to give a huge thanks to the entire community for their feedback and patience while we've looked into implementing these changes - especially to those of you who've taken the time to come back to us with incredibly useful, nuanced feedback about your FFB experiences. It's worth mentioning that while this is the first big update to the FFB, it's definitely a work in progress and we plan to refine the feeling further. Please - let us know what you think..
